The thirteen year old dog passed away in 2013. Posted on Instagram, “Last night we lost our beloved Hank..I will miss him dearly, 13 yrs old ..been there for me thru it all Best”. Soon after this she adopted Lily.

Lily, originally named Tara, was adopted from the aftermath of a hurricane that hit New York. The actress visited North Shore Animal League America Shelter in Long Island, New York, to help spread the word about relief efforts in the area and encourage adoptions.
