Mike Holmes earned the reputation as the most trusted contractor in North America by helping homeowners identify the problems with their renovated homes. At times, Mike Holmes discovered problems which required the homes to be built from scratch.
Mike Holmes’ expertise formed the basis of his reality TV shows, which include; Holmes on Homes, Holmes in New Orleans, Holmes: Makes It Right: Retooled, and most recently, Holmes 911.
After years of dating, Mike Holmes married Alexandra Lorex in 1982 when he was just 19 years. Their marriage yielded three children; Amanda, Sherry, and Mike Jr.
However, the economic recession in the early 1990’s hit Mike Holmes’ business so hard that it began to cause problems in his marriage. As a result, Mike Holmes and Alexandra Lorex began to drift away from each other and they ended their marriage.
After Mike Holmes’ divorce, he met Anna Zapia and with her support, he rebuilt his construction empire and got into television.
Mike Holmes is currently not married but is in a relationship with his long-time girlfriend Anna Zapia, whom he often refers to as his wife.
